Ooooh, goodies!

It's been a strange sort of week. The weather in my part of the UK has gone from scorching hot and dry, to cooler but fairly humid - thanks in part to a torrential downpour on Monday morning that lasted on and off for about three and a half hours. Rain isn't the reason for my "Ooooh, goodies!" title though, as I much prefer hot and dry weather. The reason is a red herring for my 2YN novel that hadn't occurred to me until about half an hour ago, and an idea for a future novel (switching back to my comfort zone of paranormal/supernatural/horror/generally spooky). The new future novel will require a truck-load of research as it will more than likely have an historical setting, but as I'll happily do research until the cows come home that won't be a problem. In addition I'd decided at the start of the year that this year's NaNo will be my last for a while, due to working on 2YN and my ten year old idea that's been threatening to push said 2YN aside.
